I am not gonna lie...

but this consumed my morning and made me smile big. I am a sucker for a wedding and a beautiful wedding dress.

What else I have up my sleeve...

I really do not love our full bathroom that we have. There are literally three different types of wall coverings in it. Tile, cedar plank and paneling !!! I do love the paint color and new flooring we did though... You can see the walls in these pics and if you look close under the floor rugs you can see tile... So after perusing some other blogs, I realized instead of taking down all walls, removing sink and toilet... then re sheet rocking, this will be an easier solution for now. So here is some inspiration for it. Maybe this curtain, but who knows what kind of artwork to go with it... or go w this ..this is vintage wallpaper that I would frame, but I am not sure if putting an ivory curtain will be ok with sharing with the hubs... hmmm I'll also repaint too. I am thinking of painting the walls on color and then the ceiling a light shade or same color... lots to do !

Yea my office decor is lame...

Our office now is kind of not my style... but we make due. It's kind of the room where I picked out a desk that matched some of our current furniture to put in there with other things we have... including a dusty treadmill (I will get on that machine, I will get on that machine lol .) We then painted the room a BM blue and called it a day. The only thing I did do to make it sort of what I want was stripe paint a bookshelf... here is an older pic of it, but at least it shows the color of the room too. (we donated that large stereo just recently), I guess once I do what I want in there we will re-stripe again. <---- This pic makes me realize we need a new camera asap !! (or Jonsey Cleopatra or Kristi can come over and shoot pics of my house already with their fancy darn cameras !!) Between work and the end of my semester of school nearing, I feel a bit overwhelmed, but when I can breathe again, (probably July whew)... I plan on repainting the office (and some other projects

I interrupt design babble to bring you...

something funny... or maybe offensive ??? Guess it depends on the state you live in. Not sure if we are baseball or fabulous unhappy people, but either way super funny in my opinion ! I am thinking of getting a copy for my office and you can get your copy here... http://www.etsy.com/listing/71283457/america-in-my-book?ref=pr_shop

Wainscoting part duex

Here are some more views of what we did. I just love it so ... I have to say if you are considering doing it in your home, go for it. It's a lot of work but it makes it look just so amazing when it's all done.

We did it !!!

We put up the wainscoting we wanted ! And by we, I mean my in laws too ! What a day it was, we started at 11am and didn't finish until 10pm that night... well, really we didn't finish until the following night because we still had to finish up one wall. Let me run down how we did it. We first measured the walls and figured what size boxes would be needed. Then we traced the "boxes" on the wall, added up all we needed in trim and headed to Home Depot. We bought a trim that matched our chair rail and came home and went to work. My husband and father in law painfully put every single box together first (I think about 17 of them) and then put them on the wall. Some were glued, some we nailed depended on the wall. Now keep in mind our lovely casa is 37 years old so the walls have settled quite a bit in it's day. With that said, of course all of the walls are different shapes and sizes, so when the boxes went up some had to be adjusted to make sure they all looked rig

Bedrooms

I've always thought a bedroom should be the place where you go to relax and forget about the day that just happened. Regardless of how hard, boring, or stressful it was. So when it comes to your bedding, I feel that it should be as comfortable as it can get because this is where you can forget your troubles. But when it comes to bedding for me, well, least just say I never can make up my mind. I am always switching things up. Here is the last THREE things that we've made our bed with in the past two years. Our first attempt, not bad. It's a Laura Ashley comforter that we love. But something was missing. Second attempt... beautiful comforter set I found at Homegoods . Literally a 9 piece set for abou $90.00. It was beautiful... BUT not as comfortable as we would like... Which leads us to today. We bought a duvet cover, to cover over the Laura Ashely, a new pillow, new sheets (can't have too many sets lol ) and a new blanket... Yes I am aware I posted how much I hate duv

One last look ...

Here is the dining room currently, but after this weekend it will look way more amazing. Can.not.wait. Super excited !! Also... I was thinking of this vinyl saying to go above our couch in our living room. This is an older picture of the room but you get the drift.

Adventures in Wainscoting....

This weekend we are finally going to do the wainscoting that we've wanted in our dining room. Unfortunately since I could not find the correct MDF to do something like this... I am going to settle for something similar to this but all white. Can't wait to post pictures that are actually of my home, instead of others. We are also considering doing something similar to this in our bedroom... bought a piece of it and have been staring at it for days to see if it works. If it does, I will post some more pictures soon. Love home projects !!
