It's a Mad Men NYE

Well, technically not for us this year but it's a very fun thought to imagine. I feel I've done it all to celebrate the coming of the new year. The only things I've never done, and will never do is head into NYC to watch the ball drop. It's way overcrowded and I have no interest standing in the cold for hours on end. When I think back I really have done every combination possible to ring in the New Year, be it a bar, club, someones house party, stayed in with friends & family or dinner and a comedy show. I've even banged pots and pans many years when that fabulous ball dropped. This year we are staying in by ourselves. 2012 will bring (God willing) many changes for us, and we want to take the chance to be solo this year. Now if we were to have a fancy Mad Men New Years party, this is some of what it would look like. Mr B. would adorn these fancy beauties Our guests would drink from these We'd tidy spills with these I would be wear...

Eggnog martinis & ugly christmas sweaters...

We all decided to wear ugly Christmas sweaters on Christmas Eve. Some are way uglier then others but you get the point. I really really hate this picture of me too. Bleck. So lovely right?? My in laws tree Hope your Christmas was merry and bright... Looks like it's time for the treadmill !!! Disgusting picture of me, but good motivation for the treadmill 7 days a week. So how did you spend your holidays? Are you bursting at your seams too?

Merry Christmas Eve !!!!

This past week I finally completed something that I began long ago when I graduated high school, an associates degree. Well of course I am a bit late in the game but in hindsight of my my twenties, this just made sense to finish it this way. Hard work, determination and persistence led me all to what I've now finished. It was a lot to handle when you work full time too. Many weekends were dedicated to homework, studying for test and writing papers. I do not regret a thing and feel extremely accomplished. Anyone who thinks it's too late, just know it never is. An education is a precious thing and everyone should aim to achieve higher. As a graduation gift my mom and pop gave me a new camera. Here are some shots from it. Finally a camera that works !!!             New Camera shot.... And an early Christmas gift from my parental units as well. I have some plans for this baby... Merry Christmas everyone. Remember today He was given to ...

Celeb e trees

I love celebrities  Christmas trees. I have gathered some of my favorite designer's trees to show you. Some are from years past because it's very hard to find current pictures. Enjoy the festiveness ! David Bromstad 2011 Martha Stewart Lidia Bastianich Eddie Ross 2008 Martha Stewart  Aren't they amazing? I love all different Christmas trees. It's fun to see how people will decorate them. And what about the White House how amazing are these two trees and how cool to see how it's actually delivered there?            White House Library Fancy right? So what's your tree look like? Was it inspired from anyone?

12 days of xmas

i have always loved the The twelve days of Christmas. I love all the ornaments, plate settings, song etc... I really would love an entire set of plates with the Twelve days on it one day but that would be very hard to store somewhere as I am all packed out !  It would be awesome though. What I didn't know is that the 12 days starts on Christmas day and end on Jan 6. I always thought it was the 12 days prior. Weird right?  Per Wikipedia, (side bar this is not a good source for many things but hey for this why not) "the song are the twelve days starting Christmas Day, or in some traditions, the day after Christmas (December 26) (Boxing Day or St. Stephen's Day, as being the feast day of St. Stephen Protomartyr) to the day before Epiphany, or the Feast of the Epiphany (January 6, or the Twelfth Day). Twelfth Night is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as "the evening of the fifth of January, preceding Twelfth Day, the eve of the Epiphany, formerly the last ...

A NYC Magical weekend

This pass weekend Mr. B and I decided to head into the city to walk around, shop and grab some street eats. It was so fun and there was just something magical about it. I took my camera along to photograph somethings. I am pretty sure we walked 40 blocks that day. Pretty awesome. This is what greeted us right outside of Penn Station. Lots of people, cabs and billboards. The next stop H & M, how cool is this light fixture. I really wanted it ! Next up Lush. Have you been? If not find one in your area and get there asap. It's amazing and all the products are great. I ended up getting sugar lips scrub and hand gurugu Here are the handmade soaps they offer too. Never tried but I hear they are amazing too ! Next up Bryant Park. It was a first for me and Mr. B... weird right? This time of year they have their own beautiful tree and cute holiday shops. It was very fun. Here is a picture of the trees because yes, there are trees in spots of NYC. I think the tree in Bryant Park is way p...
