It's bound to happen...

a weekend that starts with a roar and ends with a tremendous thud. This was mine this past weekend. My Friday started with shared stories that I did not want to hear because they ripped open scars of the past. Then an afternoon call that my sister was rushed to the hospital because she was having a mild heart attack? What ! Excuse me? She is 43 and in awesome shape. Makes no sense. Then Sunday more news that made the wind knocked out of me or so it felt.  Some times life makes no sense and some times waiting on God's plan makes me impatient. I have faith and trust in God and know that He will not steer us wrong. But waiting stinks.... So now that I have let that out, here are some visual beauties.  tie clip for Mr. B awesome sweater for me a wish simply beautiful a must do to one of my sweaters reminds me of our wedding day =)

Washing, washing, washing

This past weekend we headed to Pennsylvania again to see my mom and my pop. I've been bugging both of them a small washboard to finish my collection for months. Finally on my scavenger hunt of their basement (I swear they have some amazing hidden treasures down there) I saw the board, and asked (again) for it. This time it was mine ! Success !!! I added it to the two that were there and here is what it looks like now. What do you think?

Last month when I went to Pennsylvania, one of the things I bought was a bird hook. I knew where I would put and recently got around to putting it up. It hangs on a door that goes to our oil burner, next to our side door. Here is the hook with out things hanging:  And here it is with my aprons on it. Cute right?

LOVE

This post is a week late and many pictures are missing but I had to show some of the deliciousness that occurred for Valentine's day.  Here is how our table was set, que romance =).   Scallops with pineapple and cucumber relish. Amazing !! And then we finished with this, of course A la Mode. Strawberry pie

European obsessed

I've always loved European street art work. When we purchased our home, I had a bunch of different artwork I loved saved on Etsy to purchase once we closed. Decorating our home was easier then most, because we knew exactly what it looked like, seeing as if I've lived there my entire life. (As I've mentioned in the past, we purchased the home I grew up in) This piece started off my love for the look of this type of artwork. Isn't it gorgeous? This picture does not even do it justice !   Here is where it sits in our home I always keep an eye out for more works of art that look similar to this and recently I found a bunch that I love from Etsy. I am sure there are other sites out there that sell higher end artworks, but I love the vintage feel of things. The above piece was $12.95 ! What a great price.  Below are some new beauties I've been coveting. These last two have horrid frames but great art. This I love so much, bu...

When Mr. B bakes, it makes my heart happy ...

Last night Mr. B made me an amazing dinner for Valentine's day. First it started with an appetizer of scallops with pineapple/cucumber relish. Our main course was chicken stuffed with apple and cheddar and the most amazing mac and cheese ever. Then he finished with this amazing strawberry pie. Of course we had it Ala Mode. Is there any other way???   And just because, I figured I would show the apple pie he made for Thanksgiving. So delish.   So what did you do for Valentine's?

30, 30, 30

I am so excited to share this with everyone. Last month a friend of mine was featured as a guest poster on a blog called "My Thirty Spot." I loved her contribution just as much as I loved the idea of sharing a personal story about being in your thirties. I decided to follow in my friend's footsteps and contact the creator of the blog to see if I could do a guest post as well. Guess what, I could ! Super exciting. She even let me pick Valentine's Day to appear ! Please show her some love and visit her awesome blog and my post here.   PS Happy Valentine's day !!
