Sunday dinners

Source

On the way to work today, I was listening to the radio and the DJ mentioned Sunday dinners at his grandparents. I started to think about when I was younger and we had Sunday dinners at my grandparents. I remember my entire family would head into their home, every Sunday. It was a weekly thing. It was pretty wonderful. I can not remember eating anything other then ravioli, meatballs and sauce, but I remember it being the most fantastic meal ever ! My poppy would freshly grate the parmesan cheese too. This made it ever more special.
I've noticed this tradition is rarely done now a days. Sad, really. My mom moved to PA three years ago, so it's hard to have her come by each Sunday and my in laws tried to set a tradition of a weekend dinner, but that faded quick. Does anyone out there do this anymore?

Okay, you made me cry! You are right, the parmesan cheese tasted wonderful...must have been the way that my Dad, your poppy grated it.
Now lets not say we never have
Sunday dinners...we have wonderful dinners every time you visit..

Oh how I love this, what an easier way to do what I want in our bedroom. And cheaper !! There is one made by Martha Stewart and Wall Doctor. So doing this ! What a great great way to get what you want with out the work and cost.

Lipstick messages

Yesterday was my birthday. Nothing fabulous. At this point of my age, it's just another year older. Nothing monumental, not a new decade, nothing to go crazy about.... But it got me thinking about when my sisters and I were younger, (and anyone else who may have lived here from time to time) my mom would write lipstick messages on our bathroom mirror. Most of the times it would say "Happy Birthday" to us. And if I was having a terrible week , it would be something encouraging like "I love you, have a great day." Well, I definitely miss my lipstick messages. I wish when they were written, we had Facebook or Instagram. What a cool thing to have captured. Here is a picture of what one may have looked like, not ours, but similar.
